The music collective, Pure Music Generals, have taken the hit single from Panjabi MC, Moorni, and given it their unique remix treatment to create a special twist on the original record.
Moorni was originally a hit single for Panjabi MC back in 2010 when it was released off the album, The Raj. The track went on to become a big hit for the top bhangra star throughout the UK and was one of the music maker’s best selling tracks off the album.
Pure Music Generals are a group of likeminded individuals from East London made up of rappers, music producers, MC’s, singers, drummers and DJ’s so between them they pretty much have every based covered when it comes to creating music.
The group’s first single, Bollywood Skank, was released two years ago and the reaction from music fans was really impressive with the single’s video attracting 400,000 hits on the online video sharing site, YouTube.
The remix of Moorni from the Pure Music Generals is shaping up to be another hit for the East London group as the music video which accompanies the remix has already attracted 10,000 views on YouTube just 48 hours after being posted online, according to Pure Music General’s Facebook page.
