Brit Asia SuperstarThe first ever talent show to find a future bhangra, bollywood or R&B Asian superstar is really hotting up. A panel of celebrity judges including SHIN, Mona Singh, Khiza and the programme’s founder and director, Harj D have visited 10 different cities across the UK as part of their quest to uncover the next big thing to hit the Asian music scene.

Harj D came up with the idea of the project after noticing that the talent of British Asians was not being showcased on other big talent searches in the UK such as X-Factor. By setting up a show which specialises in Asian music, Harj D hopes to unearth some raw fresh talent from the world of bhangra, bollywood and R&B.

The first round of auditions has taken place in mobile booths up and down the country. The format is similar to that of X-Factor as the contestants get whittled down to the final 12 who will then go on to perform on television with the public deciding who stays and who goes.

Each finalist will also be provided with mentor to help them during the course of the show. Some of the biggest names in Asian music have been lined up as mentors for the lucky contestants including, Sukshinder Shinda, Panjabi MC, DJ VIX, Hunters, Juggy D, and Aman Hayer.

The final 12 will be announced very soon with the first show scheduled for Friday 18th of December at Birmingham’s NEC Arena.
