The role of Jesus in the forthcoming biopic will be played by Pawan Kalyan is has been announced

One of the most ambitious Bollywood movies ever is to begin shooting next month. The as yet untitled film will be based on the life of Jesus Christ with the movie beginning with his birth, and ending with the crucifixion.

The actor who will take on the main role of Jesus was revealed as Pawan Kalyan at a press conference this week in Jerusalem. A number of amateur child actors will make up the majority of the cast also.

The movie has a budget of $30 million which is huge by Bollywood standards with as these movies generally have a budget of approximately $500,000.

Filming will take place on location in the Holy Land in October. The movie bosses have even been granted special permission to film in Bethlehem and also Jericho. The rest of the move will be shot in India.

The film’s makers say the biopic will not be a traditional style Bollywood movie which is often characterised by up-tempo music and extravagant dance routines. Instead just seven devotional songs will make up the musical side of the forthcoming movie.

The movie is expected to be released some time next year and will be translated into four different languages, including English.

The wedding was held in London and was a closely guarded secret as H-Dhami was keen to keep the occasion private. The couple invited all of their family and friends along to celebrate the happy event with proceedings starting off very early on in the day.

The Sadke Java singer was joined by his famous father, the lead singer of legendary 80’s bhangra band Heera, and the father and son duo were even pictured on stage together during the celebrations.

A number of famous faces were reported to have attended the wedding including all members of the Apna Sangeet band and also the actress Mona Singh.

Despite H-Dhami’s forthcoming nuptials, the hard working singer didn’t attempt to ease up prior to the wedding and was last seen performing on stage the London Mela alongside Raghav earlier in the month.

The London born star joined the Canadian singer on stage during his performance of his new single So Much. The crowd were delighted with the surprise visit from H-Dhami who features on the remix version of the Raghav track.

Nicolas Cage is reportedly about to star in a new Bollywood movie

Rumour has it that Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage could be about to take on his first role in a Bollywood movie.

Indian director Vidhu Vinod Chopra is said to be in Los Angeles right now casting for his new movie Broken Horses. The film is reported to be inspired by the director and writer’s 1989 movie Parinda which starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

According to a recent newspaper report, 46-year-old Cage has been cast in one of the leading roles for the forthcoming Bollywood movie which is due to begin filming in early next year. The role would mark the Academy Award nominated actor’s first foray into an Indian cinema.

Another high profile Hollywood actor to be linked to the gangster movie is Mickey Rourke who is currently part of an all-star cast in the Sylvester Stallone movie, The Expendables. The Wrestler star is also said to be in talks with the Indian director with a view to taking on a role in the Bollywood movie.

The last movie which Chopra worked on, albeit in a producer role, was Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots which was a runaway success and broke many box office records.

If Chopra succeeds in getting both Nicolas Cage and Mickey Rourke onboard for his new movie Broken Horses, the Indian director may have another smash hit film on his hands.

R&B Singer Jay Sean has shown his support for a children's Aids charity

Music sensation Jay Sean has shown off his caring side in recent weeks with the news that he is to join the campaign of a leading children’s Aids charity.

The Londoner has become an official partner of the Keep a Child Alive (KCA) cause which was set-up by fellow musical star, Alicia Keyes. The charity helps children in countries such as Africa and India affected by Aids. The campaign aims to help with support and treatment for these children, many of whom are orphans.

Speaking in a recent interview about his reasons for getting involved with the Aids charity, the R&B singer said he is driven by a desire to help others.

Referring back to his life before his musical success, Jay revealed he was halfway through a medical degree to become a doctor when he received a record deal. As the singer explains, he was motivated to follow a career in medicine initially so “I could spend my life giving to others, helping people in a position of need and making a positive difference in the world.”

Jay Sean’s involvement will no doubt help massively in raising awareness of the charity’s plight, and hopefully, inspire more people to get involved to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate.

The sleek new video for DJ Sanj’s latest single Teray Husan De Maare has just been released and seems to be going down a storm with desi music fans.

The talented music producer and MC has enlisted the help of singer Master Saleem who provides the vocals on this up-beat new track. The two artists have developed a close-knit friendship since collaborating on the single which definitely comes across on screen.

The Teray Husan De Maare track follows the release of Sanj’s last track, which featured a high profile collaboration with top bhangra songstress, Miss Pooja. The track was a cover of the Madonna and Justin Timberlake hit, 4 Minutes.

Big things are expected from the new track featuring Master Saleem, which is released off Sanj’s new album American Desi, which went on sale at iTunes last month.

Foji's new single Shaheed Bhagat Singh is making waves in India
