Nationally recognised theatre venture Rifco Arts along with prestigious Watford Theatre have embarked on an interesting project – to find upcoming British Asian talent on a one-of-a-kind digital platform. The highly anticipated programme to discover and launch British Asian talent ‘MummyJi Presents’ will be showcased on experimental digital arts media service, The Space, and is already gathering media attention.
‘MummyJi Presents’ is the UK’s first digital series geared towards discovering British Asian talent and presenting them to a national audience on a live show. Providing performers across Britain the unique opportunity to present their skills on this new creative platform in a three part series, ‘MummyJi Presents’ promises to be an entertaining and fun-filled show for audience across the country!
The character of ‘MummyJi’ – a high-brow Indian aunty – has been devised and played to perfection by critically-acclaimed theatre actress Rina Fatania. Over three episodes, MummyJi will introduce the best of British Asian talent on her show, right from her living room, before a grand live finale at the Watford Theatre on 11 October 2012. This is a unique creative venture that allows audiences not just in Britain but across the world to indulge in the magic of Rifco Arts right from their living room with live streaming!
After a grueling nationwide search, MummyJi has selected her top nine acts who will be introduced over the three episodes and hope to win the audiences’ heart before the final live show scheduled for the 11 October.
