This up and coming Bhangra singer is one of the most promising talents to emerge in recent times. As a new artists we’re still learning new things about the man they call Bee2 everyday. Before kicking off a professional musical career a few years previously, Bee2 is rumoured to have been a Bhangra dancer, singer and teacher in a local bhangra group based in Southall, Middlesex of West London.
As the brother of urban Asian music producer, Taj-E, Bee2 has worked alongside his sibling on his recent best selling album providing the vocals on one of the up tempo tracks.
He’s also collaborated with the number one lady of Bhangra music, Miss Pooja. The pair released a song in 2008 called Majajne. A fellow artist at his record label, The Dark MC asked Bee2 to contribute to his new album. Bee2 was only too happy to oblige and recorded the dance floor filler, Loose Control, for the album, It’s Getting Dark in Here.
As far as his own records go, Bee2 has recently released his own solo album, Beedazzled, with record label The Sound Pipe Records. The first song from the new 8 track record is aptly titled, Beehive. It sets the pace for the rest of the album by fusing a mixture of traditional Punjabi instruments such as the tumbi and some modern pop beats. The self-produced album showcases the singer’s versatility perfectly with a mix of hip hop inspired hits and softer melodies.
