Brit-Asian bhangra vocalist Rana Sahota is back with a brand new single ready to rock the dance floors! The highly-anticipated track ‘Addi Marke’ featuring industry favourite PBN is set to release on 12 July is already poised to become a chartbuster.
Rana released his debut album ‘Khadke Glassy’ alongside Aman Hayer in July 2009, following it up with the hit single ‘Chargai Jawani’ in October 2011.
Rana, who hails from a musical family, has been singing since he was young. He attributes his musical influences as Jazzy B and Heera. Since his debut album, Rana has spent his time between the UK and India, touring for a wide variety of events. It was during this time that he was signed on by record label Spice Media, home of Garry Sandhu and Dipps Bhamrah.
‘Chargai Jawani’ featuring Blitzkrieg and Surinder Rattan saw Rana explore a new sound. His upcoming single ‘Aadi Marke’ promises to deliver a more traditional bhangra feel. Released by Spice Media, ‘Addi Marke’ is the first of a string of new singles up for release by Rana this year. The young vocalist has teamed up with some of the most talented producers in Punjabi music industry including Aman Hayer and GV for his upcoming releases.
On ‘Addi Marke’ Rana says: “I wanted to go for a song that really gets you in the mood to party! Addi Marke is a pure Bhangra track, and working with PBN was an amazing experience, for someone who has a number of hits under his belt. 2012 will see a lot more music from me”
