Hard Kaur’s back in Birmingham for the BritAsia Music Awards 2010! Making a much over due return to the UK, Hard Kaur will make her first public appearance after nearly 3 years away smashing it in Asia.

Taking place on Sunday 2nd May at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and presented by Scotland’s very own funny man Mr Hardeep Singh Kohli, Hard Kaur will join fellow BritAsian Royalty to celebrate the best music that’s been on Brit Asia TV in the last 18 months.

Notorious for her hits including soundtracks for, Singh Is King, Ugly Aur Pagli, Bachna Eh Haseeno, Johnny Gadar and many more, she is renowned for her lyrical Hip-hop antics. Hard Kaur’s become the first and most successful BritAsian female rapper on the planet; dazzling crowds from Ludhiana to London, Hard Kaur’s talents knows no bounds!

Having recently anchored IPL’s Rockstar talent quest nationally, her return to the UK has had media and fans waiting with baited breath. Exclusively appearing at the Brit Asia Music Awards for her first media outing, she is presenting the Best Male Award on the night.  Up for Best female at this year’s Brit Asia Music Awards, Hard Kaur will join fellow artists’ and the great British public enjoy performances from the likes of Malkit Singh, Sukshinder Shinda, Jaz Dhami, JK, Mumzy, Kazz Kumar and the legends of British Bangra – Alaap, Bremi, Heera, Apna Sangeet, DCS plus many more.

Other Birmingham Artist’s include Jaz Dhami, Sukshinder Shinda (best producer), DCS (best band), Jazzy B and Band (best band). There is also Punjabi MC (best DJ) from Coventry, PBN (best producer) from Wolverhampton, and Aman Hayer (best producer) from Leamington.

India’s first lady of rap helped kick 2010 off in style at an open-air party in Delhi last week. The New Years revellers didn’t seem to mind the cold and partied the night away with some top names from the world of entertainment.

Newly formed pop band Nasha shared the bill along with Hard Kaur and were more than happy to get the crowd warmed up ahead of her arrival. They kept the audience upbeat by performing a number of tracks from a variety of different genres including hip hop and Bollywood. Despite only having formed 3 months ago, the band received a very encouraging reception from the crowd.

Also enlisted to entertain at the New Year’s bash was German model and Bigg Boss star, Claudia Ciesla who sang a number of Hindi numbers during her time on the stage.

Then it was time for the headline act to grace the stage. Hard Kaur didn’t disappoint, blasting out her renowned Punjabi rhythms and Bhangra beats, she performed some of her biggest hits including Ek Glassy and Singh is Kingg, much to the delight of the audience. As the clock chimed midnight and the Delhi party welcomed in the New Year, Hard Kaur wished the crowd a happy 2010 saying, “Be Happy in very moment of 2010. Enjoy every bit of your life.”
