Female bhangra singer Rasshee Rraga reveals her debut single

Look out Miss Pooja, there’s a new girl on the bhangra block. UK singer Rasshee Rraga is about to launch herself onto the bhangra music scene with her first ever single, Yaad.

The debut single from new bhangra vocalist, Rasshee Rraga, is available to download now. The singer teamed up with UK based producer Aman Hayer and Sahib Music to create the new track. With seasoned bhangra professional Aman on her side, we’re expecting big things from Rasshee.

The 19-year-old has been classically trained in the art of Indian music having started her studies at the age of 3. Rasshee is currently studying Western Music at Brunel University in West London as she attempts to broaden her musical horizons and learn about both mainstream and Indian music.

At present there are very few ladies making it big in the world of bhangra, with Miss Pooja being one of the only females to carve out a successful career in the genre. Given this, there’s definitely a gap in the market for a new female bhangra vocalist.

The single Yaad is available to download from iTunes right now, plus the video which accompanies the new track is also available to view online. Check out track and let us know your thoughts. Is Rasshee the next big female bhangra artist?
