The son of legendary bhangra singer, Kuldeep Manak, is reported to have been rushed into hospital in a critical condition.
Yudhvir Manak is believed to have suffered a brain haemorrhage and has slipped into a coma. As yet, there has been no official word from the singer’s family or representatives and so the news will remain speculation until it is confirmed.
The musician and singer is reported to be in a coma at the DMC Hospital Ludhiana. Yudhvir is thought to be in intensive care on a ventilator.
News of Yudhvir’s poor health was first reported on social network sites Twitter and Facebook. Fans, friends and fellow artists have taken to the internet in the last few hours to share words of encouragement with the Manak family.
Top name singer and music producer Sukshinder Shinda took to his Facebook page to ask fans to pray for the young vocalist, adding that his thoughts and prayers were with the family.
Yudhvir Kuldeep was inspired by his father’s success as a performer and studied Sound Production and Engineering in Australia before returning to India and launching his singing career. Yudhvir released his first album, Billo Mera Dil Lay Gayi in 2000. Since then he’s gone on to release a further four albums and collaborated with best selling artists such as Aman Hayer.

It was very sad to hear ‘Kalliyan Da Badshah’ is not with us anymore. Kuldeep Manak Sahib will never be replaced, Ardas kardein han ke unhan nun guru maharaj apna charnan de wich niwas bakshan. I wish he finds a good place where he has gone. My honest sympathy to the family and prayers for Yudvir to get well soon and follow his fathers footsteps. Respect for Jazzy B to be there for Manak Sahibs family on much needed times.
